Safco Systems has a long history starting in 1962 designing and building spot welding controls for singl pase AC welders. In 1983, we introduced a new microprocessor platform to take advantage of SCR technology in both single pase and three pase Welding Transformers. We also began building our own Transformers to meet the needs of our European customers.
Resistance welding is the joining of metals by applying pressure and passing current for a length of time through the metal area which is to be joined. The key advantage of resistance welding is that no other materials are needed to create the bond, which makes this process extremely cost effective. It also places the skill in the machine for optimum process consistency.
